History: The inside of the ring band is hallmarked "A*". The hallmark stands for Allsop Brothers, a company located in Newark NJ, in business from 1894-1937. Allsop Brothers produced gold and platinum rings and in 1937 merged to form Allsop & Bliss.
Condition: Good antique condition. Sapphire is secure in setting with some inclusions seen under magnification. Band is round & sturdy with some wear (light surface scratches, as shown in photo - mostly at back of shank.)
